Private male fertility support
A semen result is the start of a conversation—not a judgement
Male factors are common and may occur alone or with female factors. A respectful evaluation can identify whether repeat testing, medical review, treatment or assisted reproduction should be discussed.

Why one sample may not tell the full story
Semen concentration, movement and morphology vary with fever, abstinence interval, collection conditions, medicines and natural biological variation. An unexpected result may need confirmation before treatment decisions.
History and examination may reveal hormone, testicular, ductal, varicocele, infection, medicine, sexual-health, genetic or general-health questions. The plan should consider the couple together rather than moving automatically to ICSI.
A straightforward pathway
A practical evaluation pathway
- 01
Private history
Review reproductive, medical, surgical, medicine, lifestyle and sexual-health factors.
- 02
Semen analysis
Use standard collection instructions and repeat an unexpected result when appropriate.
- 03
Targeted review
Hormone, ultrasound, urology or genetic evaluation is added only for an indication.
- 04
Couple-level plan
Explain health treatment, IUI, IVF, ICSI or retrieval options in the combined context.
- Does the result need repeating?
- Could illness, medicine or collection have affected it?
- Is a male reproductive specialist needed?
- Is there a treatable health issue?
- Why is IUI, IVF or ICSI being proposed?
- Would genetic counselling be appropriate?
Common questions
Information for your next conversation
Does a low sperm count mean natural pregnancy is impossible?
No. Semen values are not absolute pass-or-fail boundaries, though lower values can affect likelihood and treatment advice. The full couple-level context matters.
Can supplements replace evaluation?
No. Evidence and product quality vary. Supplements may interact with health conditions or delay identification of a cause.
Does every male factor require ICSI?
No. Severity, cause, female-partner factors, age and prior treatment guide whether health care, IUI, IVF, ICSI or another option is appropriate.
