Is the first Umeed IVF consultation free?
The first counsellor conversation is free and is not a medical diagnosis. Consultation with an IVF specialist doctor is also free, with an appointment arranged by the care team. The initial blood test is included with the IVF package at no extra charge, not as a standalone free test. Confirm included tests and itemised treatment costs before booking.
When should we request a fertility consultation?
Consider evaluation after 12 months of trying when the female partner is under 35, or after 6 months when 35 or older. Seek earlier advice for irregular periods, a known reproductive condition, prior cancer treatment, surgery or a semen concern.
Does a first appointment mean we must start IVF?
No. A consultation reviews both partners where relevant, identifies useful tests and discusses reasonable options. IVF is only one possible pathway.
Can Umeed IVF promise treatment success?
No. Fertility treatment outcomes vary with age, diagnosis, egg and sperm factors, embryo development, uterine health and other individual considerations.
